Sujit Choudhry: Brief Background on him and information on Letter

Sujit Choudhry is someone who’s experienced on comparative constitutional law. He is also a director of Constitutional Transactions. He serves as an professor at I. Michael Heyman Law Professor in the University of California, Berkeley, read (Instagram.com). He also is an establishing director of the Center for Constitutional Transitions. Sujit Choudhry’s known worldwide for his great experience in the fields of comparative constitutional law as well as politics. Choudhry has advised foreign dignitaries who were constructing constitutions in their own countries. Some examples are Ukraine, Egypt, Nepal and Jordan. Sujit Choudhry has been given an invitation by the United Nations Development Program and the World Bank to be an adviser to the World Bank Institute. He also is grouped with the United Nations Mediation Roster.

He and many different scholars of constitutional law wrote an open letter. This was addressed to the Spanish and Catalan governments, check (Medium.com). This was on Catalonia’s current issue that requested to both sides to captivate in the dialogue. In the letter, the scholars are asking President Puigdemont of Catalonia.
