In the last decade, the service industry has undergone major transformations. The transformations have created a spiral effect in the sense that companies have made huge returns and customer satisfaction is now a reality. Greg Blatt is one of the professionals that have made this transformation a reality — through well though policies and client-centered approaches. Blatt — a law and arts graduate — has illustrated that the service industry can achieve more if all the policies are consistent with the growing market — without affecting individual company’s authenticity. In his tenure at dating site companies, he tried to have a better understanding of each company and more importantly — what makes each entity unique. When Blatt was working with Tinder, for example, he spent his time understanding what the company stands for before understanding any project. Even though the company shares a market with his other two previous company (Match Group and IAC), he still took his time to understand each company’s culture and more importantly — their approach to dating market.

Apart from spending his time to understand each company’s culture and approach to work, Greg understands the importance of research. He understands that the service industry is ever changing and lack of progressive policies is a recipe for failure. Some of the areas he is keen on studying and working with research companies include the following. First, he is interested to know the client’s aspirations in each market. In the dating scene, for example, Greg Blatt realized that clients expected more security especially concerning — personal information. Second, he realized that clients expected a better interface with the systems. Finally, Blatt understood that clients wanted customizable interface — in regard to their dating preference and their locality.

Finally, implementing these customers’ desires is his most important role. In the three dating companies he worked with, he ensured that the entities were secure, customizable and more importantly had futuristic interfaces.
